In December 2017, students from Moya Bailey’s Fall 2017 Gender, Race, and Medicine course published 15 episodes of a new podcast: “Power, Privilege, Perseverance: How the next generation is shaping society“. Each 10-minute episode is an engaging and insightful exploration of how health is impacted by issues of race, sexuality, and gender.
Episode topics include:
- mental health on college campuses
- disparities in healthcare for indigenous peoples
- the menstrual equity movement
- sex education in Boston schools
The episodes were produced and recorded with some guidance from library Recording Studios, Research and Instruction, and Digital Scholarship Group staff. The full podcast series is hosted by the library in the Digital Repository Service: http://hdl.handle.net/2047/D20260164
