Please join us for our first-ever Dissertation Colloquium on October 8 at 12pm in 421 Snell Library.
The Dissertation Colloquium is an event for graduate students who are working on dissertations or theses involving digital scholarship. You’ll have the chance to give a quick “elevator pitch” version of your planned or current research and get feedback or suggestions on potential research approaches, useful sources, and so on.
We’re hoping that this will be a fairly informal opportunity for lively discussion, with the potential for future collaborations or colloquia. Anyone with an interest in digital scholarship is welcome to attend; even if you don’t have a project to share right now, you might offer feedback to presenters or just get a sense of what kinds of research graduate students are working on.
If you are attending and would like to present, please email wwp@neu.edu with a sentence or two about your project’s topic and what phase your research is in. If you want to attend, but don’t plan to present at this time, just show up at 12pm on October 8 with an appetite for conversations about digital scholarship (and snacks!).
We hope to see you there!
